Tess is a Kenyan Post-graduate student currently living in South Africa and studying at the University of Cape Town (UCT). She is currently pursuing opportunities that allow her to address issues concerning social development. In addition to her time working at the Global Policy House as a research and development intern, she is also the co-founder of a youth initiative known as by Africa Network. This organization works to encourage the youth to initiate socio-economic development through transformative and innovative solutions such as, the use of emerging technology to facilitate development in Africa. Furthermore, she is also known to work with a group of academics at UCT in an effort to fundraise and help female migrants living in various parts of Cape Town, South Africa. She is highly passionate about the topic of socio-economic development and believes that technology is a key component of the development project in Africa.
